The EE Times has updated its 60 Emerging Startups list which was first published in April 2004. The latest version has been code named 5.0 indicate the latest corporate, commercial and technological conditions.



In the new list many companies have been removed due to various reasons. Few companies moved for Initial Public Offering of stocks and a few moved ahead of the list. Though younger startups have been given place in the list.



In the newest version 5.0 the companies have been selected on the basis of many criteria including technology, intended market, financial position investment profile and maturity.
