It is good for all. Finally, Apple and Cisco Systems have reached out an agreement to settle the high-profile legal battle over the trademark iPhone.

The trademark infringement lawsuit at once seemed to shrink the popularity of new iPod mobile device, which is set to officially available June this year.

As per the joint agreement, Cisco would allow Apple to use the trademark iPhone in exchange for interoperability in the areas of security, consumer and enterprise communications.

However, both the companies have declined to express the financial details and other terms and conditions of the joint agreement.

Cisco filed the trademark infringement suit against Apple just the day after Steve Jobs unveiled the much-talked device at Macworld in January. In the suit, Cisco explained that it has owned the trademark since 2000 and sought damages from Apple.
