Overwhelmed by the unprecedented demands for the 4GB iPod nano Red Special Edition, Apple has released a new 8GB model of iPod nano RED Special Edition. The new 8GB iPod nano SE can store over 2000 songs.
The new model is very much similar in looks to the previous RED SE with same red aluminum case and features:
a) 24 hours of battery life,
b) The Click Wheel,
c) Redesigned earbud headphones,
d) USB 2.0 cable, and
e) Completely skip-free playback.
As Apple did with the previous RED SE, apple has pledged $10 from each player sale towards the cause of the Global Fund to help fight HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Greg Joswiak, VP of Worldwide iPod Product Marketing, Apple said;
Customer response to the iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition has been off the charts. We’re thrilled to add a second model with 8GB of capacity, enough for 2,000 songs, so customers have yet another choice in supporting this important cause.
And we think they are doing a great job supporting such a cause.
