A new study reveals the feeling of being watched makes people to construct their conduct more honestly, even if the eyes are not real. The study was conducted by a Newcastle University team. The team monitored how much a person donates in the ‘honesty box’ after buying drinks.
The study suggests people tend to put nearly three times in the box in case when a poster of a pair of eyes was put above the box than a poster of flowers. They went on to conclude the brain responds to image of eyes and faces as triggers a feeling of being watched.
The study fantastically demonstrated that people behave better when they are being watched.
