Kinderstart may sound kiddish but it actually filed a law suit against Google.

The suit seeks damages, information, and asks to be certified a class action. It would also entitle Kinderstart’s lawyer to large fees, which may be deserved if he could actually get Google to disclose their algorithm.

The allegation? Loss in visitors and the search engine’s clumsy method of ranking website.

Suddenly page rank has become immensely important. But no one knows exactly what method Google deploys (it’s a close guarded secret, how Google does it you will get to hear 100 versions) so that the new breed of search engine optimizers (it’s a new industry these days who will promise you higher ranking on Google and Yahoo and MSN) deliver a definite PR (page rank) to their clients.

No one knows how Google algorithm works. So, you will never get a satisfactory answer on why a site was suddenly dropped or why a website has been all of a sudden promoted to the very first page against a particular keyword? (Though in that case no one will be complaining ;)).

However, Kinderstart complaint. And with style. After stormed to the search engine with 10 million a month traffic its traffic dropped 70% and profit by 80%. After Google’s no response on the matter it has knocked California court system.

I think more than anything else, like transparency and stuff it should install an effectual customer service cell.
