The boardroom secret is open secret now. Is Microsoft worried about the nearly redundant Office Software? People are fast turning into online for most of the office jobs. It’s trying hard with Microsoft Live and Office Live.
That does not also mean that Microsoft does not gel with Google and others. On Network Neutrality issues today Microsoft will take on broadband providers over a hotly debated telecommunication bill which can change the internet scenario for ever.
Now Microsoft has to save its face over the memo leak issue. There big bosses are criticizing each other. Mr. Ozzie blamed strategic department for moving too slowly to make the most of new technologies. When start ups (Read: Google) can capitalize on the industry trends why not Microsoft? The largest software company in the world?

Seattle P-I: “In an Oct 30 e-mail message to Microsoft’s top executives, Gates made it clear that he considered the new Windows Live and Office Live online services, announced two days later, only the beginning of a major shift in the company’s business.”
