Johnson & Johnson, made the victory over Pfizer Inc.’s consumer health care unit for a price of $16.6 billion.

Marketing and branding experts are predicting that New Brunswick based health care giant Johnson & Johnson using its sense to boost the sales of mature Pfizer products among customers. They will make perfect matching between Pfizer’s brands and their own brands.



Last year Pfizer sold $3.9 billion consumer health care products worldwide while J&J’s $9.1 billion.



Pfizer and J&J together sold $6.35 billion in consumer health products in the U.S, which is 20% of the $33.4 billion of U.S. sales.



Another benefit of this deal is that both companies have competing products. Meanwhile, J&J can save money because it will need less manufacturing plants.



Once this deal will get approval by the host of regulators, the J&J will also get the U.S. rights to switch on number1 position.
