Philips is expected to announce it’s latest IR controller Philips Pronto Professional 9600 in the upcoming CEDIA Expo. The best thing I liked about Philips Pronto is that users can create their own remote with it and Philips has got all the software and the documentations in its Pronto website.
Anyway, the Pronto has a large screen and looks great like the Philips RC9800i. Philips say that it has ‘ultra-reliable wireless extenders, and more functionality for multi-room solutions.’ Also it will feature a new software called ProntoEdit Professional with a range of features. Apart from these, it has the usual power sensors etc.
