China urges U.S. to clear their doubts about Chinese products and to avoid further confrontations by taking its prior statement back. China deems US allegations unscientific, irresponsible and contradictory.
U.S. alleges the Chinese product especially toothpaste poisonous and warns the consumers to avoid it because it may contain a poisonous diethylene glycol, which uses in antifreeze as a thickening agent. Food and Drug Administration acknowledges that it is in a small quantity but could be a dangerous.
On the wake call from the administration, country’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) increased its scrutiny on Chinese product.
But the China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine rules out all US apprehension and support toothpaste ingredients and proven it with the scientific calculation as low levels of the chemical considers safe for consumption.
China protests for its products said that the ingredients of toothpaste exported to the U.S. are offered to the FDA, showing the amount of diethylene glycol. Also, the toothpaste’s labeling has already been registered with the FDA, allowing it to be sold in the U.S. China cited the experts’ opinion that the Health Ministry considered the low-level of diethylene glycol is not hazardous for the health and not suggested to caused cancer or deformities.
China said that European Union standards allow less than 15.6 percent diethylene glycol in the toothpaste but ironically FDA is concerned about 3 percent to 4 percent of the drug.

On Friday FDA alerted that the agency found diethylene glycol, in three products manufactured by Goldcredit International Trading in China: Cooldent Fluoride, Cooldent Spearmint and Cooldent ICE.
From the long decade china is blaming for its sub-standard products. China’s products are also under scanner as it was reported diethylene glycol was after the deaths of 51 people in Panama after they took tainted cold medicine. China admitted the fault, but it protected itself by insisting that it was originally labeled as for industrial use only.
FDA’s report causes huge losses for Chinese export as Panama and several other Latin American countries have banned Chinese product and removed tens of thousands of tubes of Chinese-made toothpaste from stores amid concerns that they contain diethylene glycol.
