
Microsoft has suffered a massive fall in profit due to delay in the launch of its two hyped products, Windows Vista Operating System and Office 2007.
According to BBC, Microsoft’s profit has been dropped by 28 percent during the second quarter, though overall sales increased by six percent to $12.54 billion from $11.8 billion in Q2.
During the last three months, the company’s revenue fell to $2.63 billion or 26 cents per share, from $3.65 billion, or 34 cents per share, during the same period last year.
World’s largest software developer has delayed more than $1 billion (509 million pounds) in sales relating to consumer launch of its latest operating system and office software.
