We are creatures of habit. More than that though, we like useful things. Before Google, I used Altavista a lot. Google has become habit for me now. I need to learn about something new, I Google it. I have lost the link to a news story, I google the rough headline and Google shows up the rest.



I know that Yahoo has done good things with its search engine, especially its web 2.0 components. But I still use Google. People have moved on from Levi’s but many information professionals, including myself, would to see the day when Google was no more.



Okdork has posed the question, ‘What you do if there was no Google’ and I think that post deserves a forum for itself. I would love to see the comments and options from submitters.
