With the Vista release scheduled in January, Microsoft is doing the logical but unbelievable. Given the history of attacks on Windows OS, Microsoft seems to be taking no chance with Vista and is willing to speak to anyone, yes ANYONE they think can help.

The latest is that a Microsoft team from Redmond went to Malaysia for Asia’s biggest gathering of hackers to throw a party!

Giving the reason behind this gesture, Sarah Blankinship, Security Programme Manager, Microsoft says;

We come to conferences like Hack in the Box to engage with the security researcher community, to deepen our existing relationships, to understand new technologies, tools and methodologies, and ultimately to help us make our products more secure and to keep our customers safer.

Well, it is a great idea to engage hackers who had been the constant pain in the rear for Microsoft for over a decade now. However, whether Microsoft is going to take it very seriously is another story altogether.
